Sacred Fire announces...

Sacramento/Rio Linda Samhain Celebration 2012

When: Nov. 3rd. 2012
Where: Rio Linda, California

Sacramento/Rio Linda Samhain Celebration

Event Details: Please join us as we celebrate Samhain at the Barn at 6124 20th Street in Rio Linda. The mailbox is across the street. We are located about 3 miles from the intersection of Watt and Elkhorn.

We will begin gathering at 5:00 PM. We will start the Ritual at 6:30 PM. Halloween costumes are optional, but some people will be wearing them. Other options include normal street clothing, Witchy garb, Ren attire, etc.

We are asking for a $1.00 voluntary donation per person, to help defray Festival expenses. We will be Feasting after the Ritual, so please bring a dish for the Pot Luck, and bring your own non-alcoholic drinks. We are a 'Dry' Circle. No drugs or alcohol are served at our activities. Food brought for the Feast may consist of anything you choose.

This is an Open Circle. Everyone is invited to attend: both novice and experienced practitioner alike. Children and babies are also welcome when accompanied by a parent or guardian.

There will be a Raffle during dinner to raise funds for future activities. Any items that you might wish to donate for the Raffle are always gratefully accepted. Many thanks to those who have donated items in the past.

Bathroom visits inside our house must be kept to an absolute minimum. Hopefully there will be a camping potty available.

Please DRESS WARMLY and bring a flashlight, and a chair or blanket to sit on if possible.

Feel free to arrive early (after 3:00 PM) to help set up. We can use tea lights, clear plastic cups, and orange plastic pumpkins (available at Wal-Mart for 97 cents each) . Please let me know if you can bring any of those items.

Samhain, at 15 degrees of Scorpio, is the time when the veil between the world of life and the spirit world becomes very thin. It is the third and final Harvest, the end of the old year, and the beginning of the dark of the Winter season: the time which stands outside of time. We acknowledge the place that Death has in the cycle of life.

This is the end of the Celtic year. The Sun King has left this plane, and now rules from His realm in the Underworld. The Lady grieves and the world grows colder and darker. The last of the crops are harvested and stored.

Event Location: 6124 20th Street in Rio Linda
Event TIME Details: Begin Gathering at 5:00 PM, Ritual starts at 6:30

Directions: Take I-80 to the Marysville/Raley Blvd. exit. Go North to E Street. It's a stop sign. Turn right. Go to the next stop sign at 20th and turn left. Counting the corner house, we are the third house on the right. Drive up the driveway on the left side of the house (as you face it) and pull over to the side of the driveway and park. There will also be parking in the other driveway, a few spaces inside the gate, and along the front of the property. Walk through the gate at the end of the driveway, making sure to close it behind you. Please be very careful to not let our emus, puppies, peachicks, chickens, or turkey out!!!

Walk out back to the barn, where we will be meeting. Do not come to the front door, as we do not use it.

Or you can enter from Greenback Lane/Elkhorn Blvd. Travel west on Greenback Lane over the freeway and past Watt Ave. where it turns into Elkhorn Blvd. Turn left at 20th Street. Pass several lettered streets. We are just past G St. on the left. Look for the barn behind the house, and come around to the back! The Ritual area is behind the barn.
