Daughters of the Goddess announces...

Celebrate Spring Equinox

When: Mar. 19th. 2013
Where: Concord, California

Celebrate Spring Equinox

Event Details: Aloha Daughters of the Goddess,

What a beautiful day! The sun is shining and everywhere you look trees are blooming in an array of colorful blossoms. We have been celebrating the wheel of the year together, through the cold days of Winter and now it is time to celebrate the coming of Spring. We hope that you will join us as we celebrate Laka, Hawaiian Goddess of Hula and the coming Spring.

Laka is the Hawaiian Goddess of song, dance, growth and vegetation. Laka makes blossoms bloom and lets fruits and plants grow. Her dance is the Hula, and She expresses Herself in Her pure zest for life. She is the pure embodiment of the coming of Spring and of new life within and around us.

On the Equinoxes, light and dark are equal in a moment of balance. With Spring, we begin the lengthening of the days and the returning warmth of the sun. We see life beginning anew in the world and in ourselves after a winter spent resting and going within. You can feel the changes beginning all around you and can feel the blossoming within. As we move into the next cycle of the seasons we can make changes and find balance/lokahi within our lives calling forward all that we need to be in harmony within and without.

Come to Her altar and celebrate the coming Spring, the new growth of life and balance.

For this ritual please bring a Spring colored candle or a candle that is one of the colors
of the rainbow and a flower or greenery from nature. Please dress in your Aloha clothes and bring a pareo/sarong.

Daughters of the Goddess is a Dianic womyn-only Goddess Temple dedicated to honoring Multicultural Goddesses through rituals and celebrating ceremonies of Womyn's Mysteries in the Spirit of Aloha. We generally have two rituals a month and are always looking for new womyn who feel the call of the Goddess. For more information, ritual calendar and newsletter check out our website.
