Fire on the Mountain - Summer Solstice at The Swan

When: Jun. 20th. 2019 - Jun. 23rd. 2019
Where: Montrose, Colorado

Plant Medicine

Event Details: SUMMER SOULSTICE at THE SWAN
Presents the 3rd Annual Women’s Camping Retreat
FIRE ON THE MOUNTAIN
This year's theme is “Plant Medicine”
June 20 – 23, 2019

Join us on 87 pristine acres in Western Colorado for an extended camping weekend celebrating the Magick and Mystery of the Divine Feminine. Establish heart connections in a circle of like-minded women while enjoying Ritual, WORKSHOPS, dancing, Divination, drumming, fire ceremonies, creativity, mindfulness, decadent feasts, and sisterhood.

Meet Anne Calzada – Certified Herbalist, Yoga teacher and Astrologer with over 20 years experience in natural healing. A graduate of The Rocky Mountain Center For Botanical Studies, Hanna Kroeger's School Of Natural Healing and The Academy Of Yoga, she is the founder of Healing Heart Herbs, a magical and medicinal herbal and aromatherapy company offering healing blends. She is devoted to Love and Light, education and empowerment for others. She has a private practice, seeing clients, blending herbal remedies, leading plant walks, saliva readings, astrological readings, intuitive readings, wellness consultations and she teaches weekly yoga classes in Ridgway, Co. She is a Pisces!

Meet our Creative Goddesses - Shawn Goodwin-Miller, Marlene Purswell, Diane Hasz and a special guest presenter…. who will be sharing information, recipes, and activities related to our Theme of Plant Medicine (how about harvesting the mountain sage, juniper, and pinion pine on site and creating smudge sticks?) Or speaking about the sacred herbs that can be used for feasting after ritual?

Creative Goddess Amy is a Kitchen Witch with deep Southern and Sonoran Desert roots who now offers her gifts in the Rocky Mountains. She combines her passion for cooking healthy, mindful meals with her green thumb to grow herbs, flowers and vegetables that offer poetically curated experiences leaving One’s Temple (mind, body, and spirit) nourished and realized.

Participate in morning Yoga or QiGong stretching, nightly Drumming, dancing and singing around the fire pit, get in some archery practice, skeet shooting, walk the on-site labyrinth, take a nature hike, or hang out with horses

Participants are STRONGLY ENCOURAGED to arrive Wednesday evening or Thursday morning, as opening ritual will be just after lunch Thursday. All meals provided Thursday afternoon through Sunday afternoon. Bring your own camping gear or borrow ours for an extra $25. We have several large, multi-person tents, airbeds, sleeping bags, lanterns, etc. Sun showers provided for bathing. A limited number of indoor spaces are available (handicap preference) with advance notice - first come first served.

If you are planning on attending from out of the area, PLEASE CONTACT ME at the email address below for transportation suggestions. We are a VERY LONG WAY (nearly 7 hours) from Denver and 90 minutes from Grand Junction. RVs are welcome. I am off-grid, but can provide incidental (not FULL) power for you.

MERCHANT’S BAZAAR!! Are you a craftsperson, author, artist, body worker, service provider? Bring your wares or your information and let us support you!!
