Event Details: Solstice Celebration: Dark Night Mysteries
An evening of music, dance and ritual, to acknowledge and honor the power of winter's long, dark nights AND welcome back the returning Sun.
Tuatha takes the stage with their unique blend of world groove, tribal fusion and trance-dance music. (Use the link below to visit their website and hear samples.) Let's dance out the dark! Don't hibernate! Congregate!
Interspersed throughout the evening, we'll be presenting rituals for the Solstice.
Join in bidding farewell to that which is passing away and setting intentions for the coming year.
What energies do you want to transform, rather than carrying them into the new year?
What do you wish to birth into your life with the reborn light?
Community dance-ritual and energy raising will be facilitated by Sára Rain.
This evening's Yule celebration is open to those of all ages and all paths. Food brought to share is welcome; a cash bar is available. Full menu is available from the Mercury's organic, locally-sourced restaurant.
Admission: $13
Tickets are available at the door.
The Mercury Cafe welcomes cash and personal checks, but does NOT accept credit cards, though there's an ATM downstairs.
Event Location: 2199 California Street in Denver
Event TIME Details: 8 PM onward
Directions: The Mercury Cafe is on the northeast edge of downtown Denver, at the corner of 22nd Street and California Street. From Park Avenue, go one block SW on California. Mapquest's directions are accurate. Parking is available on the surrounding streets or in one of the many adjacent paid (but cheap - $2-$3) lots.
