Lament of Isis

Celebrate the dark time of the year
Event Details: Sunday October 28, 2012
Join House of the Sacred Scarab in celebrating the Lamentations of Isis. As we approach the dark half the year and veil grows thin let us mourn the passing of Osiris who was lost and honor the struggles of Isis, as she grieves and searches for her lost love.
This will be a solemn celebration of life and death, in the traditional Egyptian style followed by feasting and fellowship. (The ritual is solemn but there will be merrymaking during feasting)
There will be an open time in ritual to make offering to Isis and/or Osiris if you like.
While this event is open to all adults we do ask that you leave young children (and four legged ones) at home. We ask that you bring a potluck item to share that meets your dietary needs, and that you dress for the weather, since we will be in the basement, it maybe chilly.
