The Evolution of Witchcraft in the 21st Century
Event Details: Here is your opportunity to hear a presentation by internationally known authors and lecturers, Janet Farrar and Gavin Bone!
The talk will cover the development of Witchcraft since the 1960's, and how it is an evolving tradition. This includes discussion on traditions, solitary practice, initiation (self and into covens) , training and the degree system, and the movement towards "Deity Centered Wicca."
Janet Farrar was initiated into the Alexandrian tradition of Wicca in 1970 by Alex and Maxine Sanders. With her late husband, Stewart, they wrote some of the most influential books on modern Witchcraft, including: "A Witches Bible, " "The Witches Goddess, " and "Spells and How They Work."
Gavin Bone was initiated into Seax-Wicca in 1986, and was later initiated into the Alexandrian Tradition. He also trained as a Spiritual Healer, and with Janet and Stewart, co-authored several books, including, "The Pagan Path, " "The Healing Craft, " and their most recent book, "Progressive Witchcraft."
Janet and Gavin have lectured and given workshops internationally in Europe, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, and the United States.
