The Greator Orlando Pagan Comunity announces...

Orlando Pagan Pride Day

When: Sep. 30th. 2017
Where: Altamonte Springs, Florida

Orlando Pagan Pride Day

Event Details: It has been far to long since Orlando hosted a Pagan Pride Day, so let us all join together in a spirit of community to make it a wonderful community event. In conjuration with the West Central Florida Pagan Alliance, Inc’s Community not Competition initiative (more info to come) this years Pagan Pride Day will focus on the community coming together to support the Greater Orlando Pagan Community as a whole and beyond rather than focus on just one group in our local pagan community.

Orlando Pagan Pride Day 2017 will be Saturday September 30th at the Westmonte Community Center.

This date was specifically chosen to not conflict with the other regional standing Pagan Pride Days, and to not conflict with competing independent Pagan Pride events.

There will be a kids corner so bring the family, food drive and raffle, entertainment, workshops, vendors, readers, ritual, and of course food. More to come...

The Greater Orlando Pagan Community

To date the following groups have agreed to attend Orlando Pagan Pride Day and represent themself to the greater community.

1. Orlando Druidry Seed Group

2. Pantheon of Florida

3. The Wild Blackthorn Coven and Grove

4. The Black Hat Society of Central Florida

5. WOW Wyse Orlando Witches

6. Gaea’s Temenos

7. The Orlando Pagan Collective

8. American Asatru Association

9. Pagans in the Park

10. Mystic Grove

11. West Central Florida Pagan Alliance, Inc

Family Friendly Event

Pagan Pride Day is about community and showing both pagan and non-pagan what our community is all about. In other words it is a family friendly event. There will be a kids corner with activities for the younger members of the community, so feel free to bring the kids and have fun. Also feel free to bring that friend or relative that never understood what pagan is so they can understand you are part of a community and learn who and what we are.

Pagan Pride Day is by definition a charitable event. There will be a canned food drive and other charitable activities at Orlando Pagan Pride Day, so if you can please bring a can of food to donate.

A selection of pagan music will be played throughout the day, other entertainment is planed and being logistically worked out.

Workshops and Performances

Ruppert's Tales and Tunes Performance, as well as workshops will be present at Orlando Pagan Pride Day. More info to come once the logistics of the schedule for the day is finalized.

Pagan jewelry, crafts, and more will be present so bring your pocket money for that special treasure that is waiting for you to claim it and give it a nice home. At this time the organizers of PPD are waiting on the promotional info from the vendors who have agreed to participate in Orlando Pagan Pride Day, so please check back between now and the event for more info.

There will be a readers area present at the event.

There will be a planed meal at the event for a small fee/donation to help support Orlando Pagan Pride Day and make the event sustainable for the community.

As always Orlando Pagan Pride Day will include an open to the public ritual which all are free to attend.

While most of the hard work for Orlando Pagan Pride Day 2017 is already done, it would be nice if this was the best possible event it could be and hear to serve this community for years to come.

To that end some items would not be amiss if the community can donate them for use for the day, and there are some jobs that people who want to serve the community are more than welcome to volunteer to help with.

Volunteers: please contact Ashley Donofrio, or send a PM, or post a message in the comments, and thank you for your help.

Items wish list:

• 6 foot folding tables

• Large crock pots

• Drink coolers

• Extension cords

• More may be added as the event details are finalized... Your support and help is

Pagan Pride Day is a free to attend event, but unfortunately it is not a free to host and put on event. This years Orlando Pagan Pride Day is more or less paid for, but the plan if for next years to be even better, and not need to count pennies to cover the losses of this year. To that end a Go-Fund-Me has been put up to to cover Orlando Pagan Pride Day’s bills for years to come, so please if you can make a donation to keep Orlando Pagan Pride Day going strong. Your donations will be used to secure and improve future Orlando Pagan Pride Days.

More to come...
