Event Details: Making Mandalas with Artist Evelyne Tardy.
Mandala is the Sanskrit word for “circle”, and it also means “whole”, “center”, and “self”. It is a visual image created in a circle, and many cultures throughout history have used mandalas as a source of inspiration and/or meditation.
Create your own mandala in this class using a variety of materials. Learn the history of mandalas, the basics of design, and how to interpret your mandala in terms of color and symbol usage. Also learn how to use mandalas in meditation.
All materials provided.
Cost: $20 pre-registered by Nov 5; $25 thereafter and at the door. 6pm
Event Location: 117 N Broadway Ave in Urbana
Event TIME Details: 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Directions: Take University Avenue to North Broadway Avenue. If you are coming from Champaign, make a right onto North Broadway. We are about two blocks up (after you cross the railroad tracks, start looking for parking) . We are on the corner on Water Street and North Broadway. The Urbana Civic center is just down the street on Water Street. Look for the big 117 and the letters for Beads N Botanicals in the window.
