Almost since the dawn of human kind, women have danced together in celebration, grief and for the purposes of healing. In this class we will discuss the impact the media has on the way we define feminine beauty. We will also discuss some historical and cultural views of beauty. We will work to embrace our bodies as they are regardless of shape, size or weight. We will decorate, move and emphasize the very areas of our bodies that we are often ashamed of and hide under layers of clothing. Discard the negative feelings you may have about your body in the healing circle of dancing women.
