Circle of Gaia Pagan Study Group announces...

Stepping onto the Path of the Mysteries:How to begin

When: Jan. 13th. 2013
Where: Peoria, Illinois

A workshop taught by: Godiva le Fey

Event Details: Many times people find it difficult to find local Pagan/Heathen community. Once found they then are often shy to attend open moons or other gatherings for the first time. Being new to a spiritual path can be a very overwhelming and confusing experience. The modern Pagan community is very diverse, how do you know which path is for you? Finding a teacher can be difficult and even a little scary. The topics in this session are designed to encourage those who are new to Paganism/Heathenism to take that first step. To give those who are seeking community enough information so that they can feel comfortable and secure at open gatherings.
Topics include: etiquette and manners, what it means to be an “earth based religion”, a brief overview of some of the many Pagan/Heathen traditions, Pagan Ethics, Elders and teachers, open gatherings, festivals, moons and events as well as what to watch out for. We will also discuss how to ready oneself to make a bigger commitment of moving into a Coven, Kindred or another dedicated spiritual group as well as what such a step means.
Event Location: 3000 West Richwoods Blvd. in Peoria
Event TIME Details: Starts at 1PM
 Directions: UU Church of Peoria
