Outing to the Peace on Earth Film Festival

Join us for an incredible night of inspiration
Event Details: Join us on Friday, March 8th for our fourth year at the Peace on Earth Film Festival. The festival is FREE to the public.
The Peace on Earth Film Festival has not announced the times for the event as of yet. It appears however the feature films start at 6:00 pm. We will meet at by 5:30 pm to ensure good seating. As this is a free event it is first come - first served.
This year the Friday Night theme is all about the Latino community and the equality of all people. The movies being shown have been described as "amazing" by one of the people on the selection committee. As I get more information on the films selected I will post it.

"2013 marks the fifth annual POEFF, which is one of the few festivals in the world whose mission is to showcase films on peace, nonviolence, social justice and an eco-balanced world. Located in Chicago, with an eclectic community that appreciates and celebrates film, we have also developed an extensive, year-round cultural and educational outreach program that uses the festival's films (with filmmaker approval) and attendant programming, to expand the peace dialogue in every neighborhood of Chicago and beyond.
Filmmaker-focused, the POEFF aims to warmly welcome all exhibiting filmmakers to Chicago, provide discounted accommodations in area hotels within walking distance to the Chicago Cultural Center - the historic landmark venue for the POEFF, located in the heart of Chicago's celebrated theatre district, and directly across the street from the world-renowned Millennium Park, and walking distance to the famed shops along the "Magnificent Mile"."

Peace On Earth Film Festival (POEFF) is a not-for-profit festival established to celebrate and encourage the work of independent filmmakers from around the world on the themes of peace, nonviolence, social justice and eco-balance. POEFF aims to contribute to a culture of peace through international cinema, dialogue and programming highlighting individuals on the vanguard of peace activism and social change. POEFF endeavors to enlighten and empower individuals, families, and communities to step out of the ignorance of conflict, violence and divisiveness, into the light of communication, consideration, tolerance and understanding.
