NOLARhythm Drum Circle presents...

Drum Circle/Jam Session

When: Occurs every Wednesday evening
Where: New Orleans, Louisiana

Beat a drum, great or small, the rhythms bring out the soul in all!

Event Details: We are a group of eclectic drummers who are coming together to bring the magic of rhythm to the New Orleans community. We play any and all rhythms, whether improvised or Afrikaan, Indian or S. American.
We invite anyone who has rhythm in their heart to come share it with us. You can play the drums, the guitar, the sitar, the cowbell, or chant, or dance, or breath fire!! It's entirely up to you.
At the moment, we're working on learning basic Afrikaan rhythms for the drums. If you're interested in learning, now is the time to join. Our group website is http://groups.yahoo.com/group/NOLARhythm/
There are no fees.
We mostly play for ourselves; however, a few of us are willing to play for public events. If you have an event you'd like us to play at, please send an email to thegumbowitch@yahoo.com
Our first public drumming event will be at the Invisible Children Screening, hosted by Lamplight Circle on November 8th, 2009.
Event Location: Newman Bandstand/Audubon Park in New Orleans
Event TIME Details: We start at 6:30 PM - times may change in Winter
Directions: We drum in front of Newman Bandstand (the big ampitheater next to Shelter 10 and the Golf Club) at Audubon Park, right off of Magazine St. If you go to www.auduboninsitute.org, and click on "parks" you can get a map of the park and see where specifically the bandstand is.
