Nemos Ognios/Grove of the Living Flame (ADF) announces...

Open Druidic Beltane Ritual

When: May. 8th. 2004
Where: Plymouth, Massachusetts

Beltane Ritual in the Gaelic Tradition

Event Details: On Beltane we emerge from our winter homes to live more closely with the spirits of the land. Beltane is the time to burn away the drudge that has built up in our winter, and get right with those with whom we will be spending more time in the warm period of the year.
Our ritual, based on an ancient Scottish way of celebrating the occasion, is intended to do just that; purify us from the death of winter so that we can enter summer lightly, the refuse of winter removed from our backs.
Nemos Ognios is a protogrove of Ar nDraiocht Fein (ADF) . Founded by Isaac Bonewits, ADF is the largest druidic organization in the United States. We are committed to serving the Pagan community, in part by providing rituals that are open to all.
This kind of ritual comes with a price, of course. After all, you can't expect us to expend the money necessary for this all on our own. We are therefore charging the lordly sum of ten cents. But not just any ten cents; pennies and nickels are out. We are quite fussy, and insist on a dime. That's right, folks, for just one thin dime you can attend our Beltane ritual. We give a lot of offering to the gods and nature spirits at our rituals, and the dime serves as a token payment so that these offerings will come from you as well.
So come and worship the High Ones and honor the nature spirits with us. Get in good with them now before you start spending so much time among them.
Refreshments and merriment to follow.
