Make Your Own Besom/Broom
Event Details: In this class you will learn the age old art of making a broom, using a large stick for the handle, broom corn, and string. We will also cover the history and lore behind the witch’s besom, and how it is used in spells and rituals, from cleansing a space to a hand fasting. Alternate ideas on how to make and decorate the broom, and as well as alternate materials will be covered.

Directions: Travelling on Route 495 South - Take Exit 32 (Boston Road - Westford) . Take left off of exit and go straight through 2 lights. At the third light, take a right onto Rt. 110 West. Go about 1.5 miles, it will be on your left, in the front left corner of the Gateway building.
Travelling on Route 495 North - Take Exit 31 (MA-119 - Groton/Acton) Turn left at the end of exit onto Great Rd. At the light, take a left onto Rt. 110 East, King Street. Go about 1.5 miles, it will be on your right, in the front left corner of the Gateway building.
