Lammas Faire for All Ages

Sacred Games, Crafts for all ages, Picnicking, and More!

Event Details: At this time of the First Harvest of Grain, people have long gathered for games, fairs, and other friendly competitions - as well as the ever-popular eating and socializing. Pack up your sunscreen and join the fun, test your skills, and catch up with friends you haven’t seen in a while -- including those you haven’t met yet!

Enjoy FreeCycling, Bake-Off, Picnicking, Sacred Games, Arts and Crafts -- then join us for our Closing Circle, dedicated to the honor of the Gods.

Bring your own picnic food -- the camp provides grills, picnic pavilions, toilets, a playground area for children, and walking trails. ALSO AVAILABLE: T-shirts with our famous Lugh bowling symbol for $15.

Seventh Annual Lammas
Bake – Off: Savory Breads!

Rules for the 2013 bake-off: 1) This year's Bake-Off entries must be a SAVORY bread, using summery herbs, seasonings, and spices. No dessert breads, nothing laced with sweets or chocolate. Think: garlic bread, basil nan, rosemary scones, etc. 2) All entries must be
made from scratch; 3) Entrants must bring enough to have about 40 samples (not servings, just a taste – think sample tables) ; 4) All entries must have a full list of ingredients; 5) The winner will have the honor of having a portion of his/her dish offered to the Gods of the Games as a sacrifice during the 3 PM opening ceremony as the finest our community can offer. Let the baking begin! Judges for the contest will be those attending the Faire; it will cost $1 to sample and vote. If you are interested in baking, please email Peg at < meagan@control.com >

NOTE ---> Alcohol is not allowed at the YMCA.
