Dark Moon Ritual

Open Dark Moon Ritual
Event Details: The Temple of the Sacred Arts and the Oakley Circle (of the Sugarloaf Congregation of Unitarian Universalists (SCUU) ) - will be conducting a joint Dark Moon Ritual, Sunday, November 15, 7:00 - 9:00 pm, at the SCUU Church in Germantown.
This ritual will entail shadow work, sacrifice (banishing) that which needs to be let go, and working with the Goddess Venus.
What will you sacrifice? Think of something valuable...something that is comfortable and clings to you...something you no longer need. Kind of like those old ratty shoes that you really should give to Goodwill (or if really worn, throw away!) but have had forever and really don't want to part with...but it is time to let them go. Perhaps it is something that hurts you...or hinders you...or blinds you...but somehow, you feel the need to keep it close.
Write down your sacrifice, in advance or during the ritual; at the end we will burn them...eliminate them from our lives...send our petitions to the Mother...set ourselves free.

Please note that some of our celebrants are severely allergic to fragrances, please do not wear perfumes, colognes, or essential oils and also please do not bring any scented items to the ritual.

Event TIME Details: 7:00 pm
Directions: Sugarloaf Congregation of Unitarian Universalists
16913 Germantown Road, Germantown, Maryland.
Route I-270, take Exit 15 - Route 118 (Germantown Road)
South towards Germantown.
When Germantown Road crosses Route 117 (Clopper Road) ,
start clocking your mileage,
continue on Germantown Road for about 2 miles.
Pass the high tension power lines and a red mailbox on the left.
The Church driveway (16913 Germantown Road)
is the next driveway on the left (there is a sign) .
Note: There are two driveways close together, take the driveway on the left.
Once on the driveway, it is a very long driveway.
The ritual will be in the Yurt building (which is to the side of the House/Church Office) .
