Maypole dance and picnic feast

Welcome in the May!
Event Details: Beltane, or May Day is a joyous celebration of spring returned. What began as a seed at Ostara is now the rolling greens, and bursting flowers of the warm times reborn.
Join us on the grounds of the Owen Brown Interfaith Center for a "traditional" celebration of May Day. We'll enjoy mythic merriment selecting a May King and Queen, singing and dancing around the Maypole, and finishing of course with a picnic feast.
Dancers and non-dancers are both welcomed! Bring drums or rattles if you have them, or borrow ours. Festive wear is much encouraged!
Please bring food or drink to share for the picnic, and camp chairs or picnic blankets. In case of bad weather, we will move the feast indoors at OBIC.

Event TIME Details: 1 pm to 3 pm
Directions: Driving Directions to OBIC
Take I-95 to Route 32 West.
Exit at Broken Land Parkway North (to the right) .
Proceed straight on Broken Land through the first signal at Snowden River Parkway.
Make your next right at Cradlerock Way.
Make a left just past the Shell gas station and prior to the McDonald's.
The Owen Brown Interfaith Center will be on your left straight ahead of you - there is plenty of parking.
