The National Pagan Pride Project is a non-profit organization. The primary purposes of this organization are the advancement of religion and elimination of prejudice and discrimination based on religious beliefs.
The mission of the National Pagan Pride Project is to foster pride in Pagan identity through education,
activism, charity and community.
Central Maine Pagan Pride Day is an opportunity for the Pagan Community in this region to do exactly this. We strive to mirror the National Project’s mission and statement of purpose by offering workshops, networking opportunities, demonstrations of celebrations of faith led by diverse groups and by being open to the public, including the press.
We recognize that we have had a few hiccups in the past with regard to getting this event to actually happen. We are hopeful that 2010 will be THE year!!! We encourage everyone to attend the planning meetings, join the Yahoo!Group and engage in the discussions regarding this event. We can't do this alone, we need our community to give input and ideas. We want this to be a success and most of all we want you to enjoy the day!
