MN Earth House Project, Inc [Witchvox Sponsor] announces...

13th Annual Midsummer Gather

When: Jun. 16th. 2013 - Jun. 23rd. 2013
Where: Near Richland Ctr, WI, Michigan

A Witches' Dozen

Event Details: Mayday! Mayday!
The May 1 deadline for your free T-shirt is nearly upon us, and the schedule is taking shape for Earth House's Marvelous Midsummer Gather: "A Witches Dozen" June 16-23, 2013, Eagle Cave Resort, Blue River, WI http://earthhousemn.org/gather.htm
HONORED GUESTS: ~Greybeard~ Involved in paganism since the late 1980s, Greybeard organized The People of the Woods, an incorporated coven and Wiccan church in Washington State. Greybeard has taught workshops, led rituals, written articles, and participated in pagan gatherings large and small across America. In the 1990s he began leading the Men's Rituals at PSG along with a co-organizer Leverett Smith. He also has led workshops and teachings at numerous festivals, both large and small, including his own Mabon Mountain Mysteries Festival New Mexico. He is glad to have this opportunity to return to Eagle Cave for Midsummer, and to make new pagan friends. We are proud to include his expertise in our schedule!
~Estelle Daniels~ Estelle Daniels is a respected author and elder, not only in the Twin Cities' Pagan community of Paganistan, but also on a national level. Rejuvenated by her recent retirement from the Mundane Marketplace, Estelle is greatly anticipating presenting our Midsummer Ritual and offering her many years experience. Come enjoy her dry wit and extensive expertise (as well as the terrific "trinkets" in her shop) . P.S. It appears that Estelle will be the Judge for our No-Talent Contest. She can be bribed!
~Christopher Kirkpatrick~ Executive Director of The Prairie Enthusiasts, a nature conservation group based in the upper midwest, Chris is enthusiastic about being out in nature with a bunch of fun-loving, ecology-supporting folks. He is also a connoisseur of brews and imbibables, and has kindly consented to lead the judging of our Brewing Contest, and will be leading most of us in some sing-along silliness.
ENTERTAINMENT: While we have plenty of home-grown talent ("No-Talent" Contestants notwithstanding) , we will be officially serenaded by Catgut and Marck, Ben and Briana, and Christopher (these are three separate acts) .
VENDING: We've got many folks showing up, and many of those folks have STUFF FOR SALE: From Massage to Trinkets to Tools, wander around the camp to find the hidden treasures lurking in our vendors' wares.
RITUAL: Well, of course! Both serious and silly, funky and fun.
LEARNING: Circle of the Dragons will be presenting a weeklong (M-F) series of eight Seekers' Classes, focusing on the basics of Wiccan spirituality. Always a learning experience, we have our week-long "Pagan U" series of discussion workshops, as well as an eclectic mix of topics from guided meditation to drumming. It is truly as eclectic as we are!
CONTESTS: In addition to the No-Talent and Brewing Contests, we plan on several impromptu contests involving Cackling, Witchy-Hats, Brooms, and other similarly stereotypical aspects of "Witchyness.": Most of this will likely be informal around-the-community-fire sessions over the course of the week. And if things work out, we might be reviving a quick-and-dirty version of the infamous "Besom Brigade."
CAMERADERIE: While we've got lots of things happening, there's also plenty of quiet spaces for folks to shed your cares and relax with folks who, we believe, will quickly become part of your "extended family." Join us each morning at Rick's Cafe (FREE COFFEE - and hot water for ... whatever else you might want) , grab a bite for breakfast and a short morning meeting, then join in whatever strikes your fancy. Join us again in the evening around a well-tended community fire for very little in the way of structure and a great deal of fellowship. And don't forget the two Community Feasts: The Midsummer Feast (of course) and the Barbarian Feast.
AS YOU CAN SEE, it's appearing to be a very enjoyable week in a magical setting that has hosted Pagan events since 1980: Eagle Cave Resort, where you can spend a week of camping so stress-free that you'll not want to leave.
INCLUDED IN YOUR REGISTRATION: * Stress-free Camping for the Duration of Your Stay (barring weather events) * Fully Modern Sanitation 24/7 * Full Electrical Service at Each Campsite * Full Potable Water Service at Each Campsite * Daily Trash Pick-up * Adult Membership to our Organization * A FREE T-SHIRT IF YOUR REGISTRATION IS RECEIVED BY 5/1/2013 * If you're still uncertain, please use this handy comparison chart to help you make your decision:
