Celebrate the Descent of the Goddess and our Ancestors

Crossroads Tabernacle Church invites you to join us as we gather to honour the ancestors and beloved dead this Samhain, on Saturday, 27 October.
This is an open, family-friendly ritual and all are welcome to attend. Both ritual garb and street clothes are welcome, with comfort being the priority.
We will begin with our education courses at 3:30 PM; the youth lesson will be on the Triple God, while the adults will be learning about using and moving energy and vibration. Please arrive by 3:15 so that we can begin promptly.
At 5:00 PM we will celebrate the Descent of the Goddess, and follow the Kore as She descends to the Underworld to claim Her power as dread Persephone. Following this will be a Rite of Release, where we celebrate the lives of those who have recently passed and acknowledge their rejoining the Great Divine.
After the ritual we will share a potluck meal. We will be providing a vegan entree; you are welcome to bring a dish to pass, but we ask that you please label it if it contains onions, garlic, or their relatives, meat, nuts, wheat, or other potential allergens. Because this is a time when the veil is thin between the land of the living and the Summerlands, it is an excellent time for divinations, and we hope to be able to provide a table for people to give and receive readings. All are welcome to bring their favorite divinatory tool!
We will be meeting at the Ann Arbor Friends Meeting House, 1420 Hill Street in Ann Arbor. There is parking in the back, as well as along side streets (those with large vehicles may wish to park in the street, as the lot is accessible by allyway) .

Directions: From the East: From I-94:
Exit to U.S. 23 North (Exit 180) . After 2 miles, exit at Washtenaw Ave West (Exit 37B) , following signs to Ann Arbor. After the merge onto Washtenaw, there are 4 traffic signals in quick succession. As you approach the 5th traffic light (.8 miles after the 4th) , move into the lane added on the right (following overhead sign for Washtenaw Ave) . DO NOT turn right at the light. Instead stay in the right lane, and follow Washtenaw Ave as it bears right (northwest) immediately after the light. Continue on Washtenaw for another 1.2 miles and through 2 more traffic signals. At the 3rd signal, bear left (west) on Hill Street. The Meetinghouse in the 2nd block, on the left (just past Lincoln) .
