Event Details: As spiritual seekers, many are looking for guidance from traditions that are authentic to their cultural heritage.

Norse Tradition is based on ancestor veneration and nature spirituality with three key concepts that bind it together: Runes, Oorlog and the World Tree. Explore these concepts in-depth, see how they are connected, and bring them into your own spiritual practice.
About Kari Tauring, MA
Kari has performed throughought the midwest. The otherworldly sound of kulning and lokking, cow calling vocals of the setterjente (upland herding girls) and the Huldre (cow-tailed fairy women) waft over the fairgrounds. Tauring's presentations compel us to listen. Using props such as a real 20, 000 BC Danish flint knife, a replica of a Scandinavian Bronze Age string skirt (2000 BC) , and rune letters from 20 BC to the Middle Ages, Tauring sings and tells the stories of our deep Scandinavian tap root. Medieval rune songs, passages from the sagas, Huldre Lokk, Stav rhythm and dance weave through masterful story telling that gives a history lesson in a most enchanting way.
Author of "The Runes: A Human Journey" 2007 (available on line, through Ingebretsen's and the Eye of Horus in Minneapolis and from the author) , Tauring's presentations and workshops stem from 20 years of research, teaching, and performance. Her shows are interactive and can be solo or very large productions. Schools, lodges, and weekend work shop programs are available. With a Masters Degree in teaching, Tauring's programs appeal to all ages and levels of learning.

Event TIME Details: 1:30-4:30pm
Directions: Eye of Horus Metaphysical is on the West side of Lyndale Avenue South in Minneapolis between the Smitten Kitten and Defiant Tattoo. There is a big sign which says Metaphysical across the top of the building, and the Eye of Horus Logo sign above our entrance, which faces at an angle toward the South East.
From the North: Take 35W South, take 35th Street exit West until you reach Lyndale, go North on Lyndale and cross 31st, we are on the left.
From the South: Take 35W North to Lake Street exit, head West to Lyndale, go South (left) approx 1/2 blocks. Look for the METAPHYSICAL sign on the right.
From the East: Take I-94 West into Minneapolis, take the Lyndale/Hennepin Exit, go South on Lyndale, cross Lake Street, Look for the METAPHYSICAL sign on the right.
From the West: Take 394 East toward Minneapolis. Dunwoody Blvd exit, EXIT 8A, toward Hennepin Ave. Turn right onto S Lyndale Ave/Hennepin Ave S. Continue to follow S Lyndale Ave.
Bus: The 4 runs up and down Lyndale, and numerous buses run up and down Lake St.
