Mayan Full Moon Ritual

Participate in an authentic Mayan ritual
Event Details: Barbara is an initiated Mayan priestess and fire bowl carrier and will lead you in an authentic Itza Mayan ritual as taught by Hunbatz Men, chief elder of the Itza, and the Priestess Na'Kin. Before the ritual she will discuss all that will happen and talk about the colors, directions and elements represented on the altar and their meanings. You will have an opportunity to discuss and question all the procedures and beliefs of ancient Maya as practiced today.
The purpose of this ritual is to honor the Full Moon and create harmony and balance between the Moon and Sun, and in each of us.
All will be active participants in the ritual and place something representing themselves on the altar. This can be a piece of jewelry, a pocket piece, something from your own altar, a stone. It will be cleansed and blessed and returned to you after the ritual. You may also choose to bring a gift for the Goddess that will be buried after the ritual. This is typically a stone or a flower but can be anything you are drawn to give.
All are welcome and no previous experience or knowledge is required.
Event Location: Aquarius, 3936 Broadway in Kansas City
Event TIME Details: 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Directions: Aquarius is located in mid-town Kansas City, halfway between down town and the Plaza. We are on the west side of Broadway, just south of 39th street and north of Westport Road.
The parking lot is behind the store at 3937 Washington and we suggest you park there as the store will be closed when the ritual is over.
