Garden of the Crescent Moon Classes
When: Classes will be on Sunday afternoons
Where: Kalispell, Montana
1st, 2nd and 3rd Degree Classes
Event Details: The Garden of the Crescent Moon Coven is currently offering a 1st Degree class for those interested in joining a Coven.
The 1st year class consists of learning about Sacred Space, how to cast a Circle, how to call the Quarters and other basic fundamentals of magick work. You will be expected to come to as many classes as possible and do make up work for missed classes. There will be reading assignments and written homework assignments. The work itself is not difficult but it does require a significant amount of time to be dedicated to work outside of class itself. Classes will be held once a week and you will also be expected to attend energy working Circles twice a month and all of the Sabbat Celebrations. This is to give you an opportunity to practice the skills you are learning.
The 1st years class is geared towards those interested in joining the Coven and you will be required to fill out an application and meet with Coven members about your goals and ideals. You must be sponsored by a Coven member and commit to the year and a day training schedule. We are specifically looking to train people who want to be a part of a working Coven.
These classes are based on a mixture of the Path of the Elder Way and the Correllian Tradition, however, you do not need to be Wiccan to participate. Gwen is a 3rd Degree High Priestess of the Path of the Elder Way with some aditional training in the Sylvan Grove Tradition (a Fairy Trad) and considers herself a Witch, not a Wiccan, and Shoughn is also a 3rd Degree in the Path of the Elder Way and has taken some classes in Druidry, so we come from varied backgrounds and are open to other Traditions, as well. A few years after receiving our 3rd Degrees we hived off and formed our own Coven.
Classes always start in the Fall after Pagan Pride Day in September and you must start with the First Degree so we know you have gone through the same training as everyone else. 2nd and 3rd Degree classes are available for those who have completed the 1st year program and become initiated into the Coven.
