PUBLIC RITUAL SCHEULE! 2009-10 ~ Opus Aima Obscuræ:
OVERVIEW:
[o] Men’s Dark Sun*: 7PM. These men-only ‘Dusk’ Solar rituals are designed to attune masculine energy to the Sun. These are performed at sun’s transitory time between zodiac signs, and shall align masculine energies to the astrological solar tides. These will follow general Gardnerian ritual procedure, and will include an aligned community ‘activity’ and an endurance ‘challenge.’
) O ( *Women’s Dark Moon* Esbats: 7PM. These women-only psychic development rituals include general Gardnerian ritual procedure, astrologically-aligned divinations and devotional offerings to Aima Elohim: our Coven Matriarch deity.
~+~ Public *Sabbats*: 7PM. Open to all! These include general Gardnerian ritual procedure, seasonal ritualistic observation, invocation/godform assumption, Sabbatical celebration, and general revelry. Most are held outdoors. Meet at the OAO Temple House.
~}{~ Public *Cottage Crafts*: 7PM. Open to all! Public Cottage Crafting events are forums for community-based education and neo-rustic reclaiming skills for the modern TRIBE! These events focus on the revival of Olde World skills, and include non-ritualistic spellwork, arts, crafts, gardening and alchemy. Events vary and are based on the traditional seasonal activities of our ancestors. These are festive social occasions and participatory lessons on the basics of rural Hedge-craft.
(O) *Full Moon* rituals & }O{ *Full Sun* rituals – This year, both Lunar and Solar “Full” rituals are observed by the Inner/training Coven only and are not listed on this schedule. (However, OAO attendees are encouraged to observe these holidays solitarily. Note that the Full Moon times are listed on most Gregorian calendars, and that Full Sun times are marked by the astrological point of each sun sign becoming exalted in a 15-degree mark on the zodiacal belt, generally falling between the 5th and 7th of any given month.)
FOR ALL RITUALS:
* Please bring a $5 donation and a vegetarian potluck food item to each.
* All Events are 18+ unless given written parental consent.
* Please bring an Altar Offering to each ritual event if possible: Each OAO ritual is an opportunity for the community to present offerings to the Temple Elemental Altars, as well as observe any of the many expanding deity altars of the Temple House. Offerings should reflect prayers, blessings, feelings of gratitude or goals that are present priorities in one’s life. Offering symbolic gifts to Deities & spirits is an ancient expression of our abilities to commune with the forces of the Universe. These offerings are not made great by worth or value in the material world, but are instead symbols of our hearts desire. As such, they are compassionately cared for by the Priests and Priestesses of OAO and are burnt, buried or sunk in the Clark Fork River at the end of each ritual year. Altars in the Temple House include: Horus, Bast, Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara, the Buddha Siddhartha, Sri Ganesha, Meigami, Thoth, Hermes, Aima Elohim/Binah/ Saturn/Great Goddess, Abba Elohim/Chokmah/ Neptune/Great God, Baphomet, Earth/North, East/Air, South/Fire, West/Water. This year, OAO will also introduce altars to Shiva [Nataraja], Lakshmi, and Parvati.
