Mabon / Fall Equinox

When: Sep. 23rd. 2019
Where: Concord, New Hampshire

Balance and the Second Harvest

Event Details: Join us in an inclusive ceremony with a dual focus on this balance point of the year between light and dark, between summer and winter, and a celebration of the harvest season, and the turning of the wheel of the year into Autumn.

We give thanks for all we have harvested in this season, bring high summer to a close and begin preparations for the dark half of the year. We give thanks and set intentions for the future. We will start with a brief overview, including introduction to a few hymns and chants, then ritual.

During the ceremony, attendees will be invited to participate in dances (as you are able) , to meditate, to reflect on what is in and out of balance in their life and their community. To bring balance into their world. To share food and drink.

Poetry and song are particularly welcome as praise offerings, so if you have a thematically appropriate piece to offer, please prepare it! Offerings of plant; fruit, vegetables or flowers, particularly if grown by you, are also welcome.

In the spirit of sharing the blessings of the harvest, we will also be collecting non-perishable goods and donations for a local food bank or shelter.

Weather permitting, we will be celebrating in the Grove.

Event Location: 274 Pleasant Street in Concord
Event TIME Details: 7pm

Directions: Please check ConcordUU.org for directions. We are located on Pleasant Street, just past Concord Orthopaedics and the Langley Parkway.
