Samhain Ritual and Celebration

When: Nov. 1st. 2012
Where: Concord, New Hampshire

The Veil Grows Thin

Event Details: Hello all,

Samhain comes.

To some the Witches New Year, to some the time when the Greenman passes into the realm of death. Others see the death of the God as the Sun, reborn at Yule.

To many, this is the time of year when the veil between the worlds is thin. A time to honor loved ones that have passed into the Summerlands.

This year's Samhain Ritual will be a traditional "Rite of Remembrance, " in which we honor our ancestors and remember our beloved dead.

You are invited to bring a photo or other personal item to place on the altar during the rite.

This ritual is appropriate for children, however, a portion of it may provoke restlessness among younger kids. A quiet children's activity will be provided for those who need it.

As long as it's not raining (or snowing!) we will be outside in the grove, with a fire. Please dress for the weather.

As always, the ritual will be followed by a pot-luck social hour to which you are invited to bring a snack or drink to share.

Please join us as we celebrate Samhain.

Night and a fire
A candlelit path
A torchlit grove
The altar of the Goddess and the God
And the dance of life.

We hope to see you there.

Blessed be,

Shawn
