“Candlemas Day, Candlemas Day, half the wood and half the hay….”
Join with the Circle of Avalon as we celebrate our Imbolc Rite, the Time of Quickening, celebrating the first faint stirrings of Life in the belly of Mother Earth. and honor and invoke the Blessed Goddess Brighid to grant us wisdom, knowledge, protection, healing, and divine inspiration. Imbolc is a time for ritual purification, contemplation and inner magickal workings. It is a quiet time to gather ones’ forces for the coming Spring. Bring your charms, talismans, amulets and symbols of cleansing and purification to charge before the altar. Wear robes, symbols of Bride’s purificatory fires or whatever makes you feel most magickal and celebrate this season of fresh new beginnings with us and the local Wiccan Community.
We are asking members and friends of the Circle of Avalon Community to bring non-perishable food items to be donated to local shelters. Also, if you like bring something for our post-ritual snacks.
