Belly dance is an ancient and beautiful dance form, and is a wonderful way to combine aerobic activity with attaining increased muscle strength and flexibility, and improved posture and coordination. In this six session course, we will focus on basic and intermediate dance movements and isolations, and their use in choreography, as we familiarize ourselves with Middle Eastern music and its varied rhythms. Wear comfortable clothing that allows flexibility of movement; bring a hip scarf if you have one; no experience necessary.
Beginners, as well as those who have taken Raushanna's class before, are welcome to join us for this new dance routine.
Nancy Fader, "Raushanna", has been dancing and performing for over 20 years (Troop Odalisque; Fantasy) and has been teaching classes and workshops for over ten years.
