Ardantane presents...

Deathwalking

When: Nov. 21st. 2009 - Nov. 22nd. 2009
Where: Jemez Springs, New Mexico

Intensive shamanic weekend

Event Details: The deathwalker fills many roles in service to the individual and the community. Acting as psychopomp is the most specific and least understood of all these roles. During this very intensive weekend, we will explore our own past deaths and learn to walk the Roads of the Dead safely and effectively in order to best serve the departed in our own communities. Strong journeying abilities and relationships with spirit guides are essential for this work. Due to the intense nature of this class, instructor approval of the course application (contact the Registrar for this form) is required, in addition to the listed pre-requisites.
Prerequisites: Shamanic Healing 101, Death and Dying 101, and approval of Dean.
Join us to:
* Take your shamanic abilities to a new level * Deepen relationships with ancestors and spirit allies * Develop specific protection methods * Work in partnership with other deathwalkers * Facilitate the dying process * Act as liaison between the living and the departed * Explore the realms of the dead * Identify the call of the spirits * Craft powerful rites of passage * Learn to care for the deathwalker
Facilitated by: Kristin Madden, Dean of Ardantane's School of Shamanic Studies, author of "The Book of Shamanic Healing" , "Magick, Mystery, and Medicine", "Shamanic Guide to Death and Dying", and other titles Digby Henry, Dean of Ardantane's School of Healing Arts, co-author of "Zen Therapy"
