Open Samhain
Event Details: Like Beltane, the winter sabbat of Samhain has been marked and celebrated by many cultures. It is the final harvest of the year, the animal harvest. It is the gateway to the coming winter. With the harvests completed, the community draws together one final time to share. Today, we associate the Samhain sabbat with our loved ones who have passed on to Summerland. We devote a space to them at our table, bringing their favorite food or drink. On this evening, when the veil between the worlds is thin, we rely on our inner sight to divine our future. The ritual will be followed by a pot luck feast.
Event Location: Unitarian Church in Los Alamos
Event TIME Details: 6pm
Directions: In Los Alamos, at the corner of Trinity Dr. (or Central Avenue) and 15th St., turn north onto 15th Street. Turn left on North Sage at the Masonic Temple. The Unitarian Church is located between the Masonic Temple and the Mormon Church.
