Event Details: Avalon’s Gate is proud to once again offer sign-ups for S. Rune Emerson’s year-long class on the Arte Magical, centering around the Risting Tradition of American Witchcraft, a modern practice of Traditional Witchcraft. This class is geared towards witches of all experience levels, and is a hands-on approach to the practice of witchcraft and magic.
The curriculum will cover all the basics of the Craft, including the following:
• Modern standards, traditional practices, and methods of witchery
• Summoning, Banishing, and other Conjurations
• The Sight and Psychic Abilitiy
• Invocations and Aspecting of nature
• Spirit conjuration and Evocation
• Hexing and Luck-bringing
• Divination and Cartomancy
• Charms and Compulsion spells
• Blessings, Curses, and Enchantments
• Glamoury and Befuddlements
• Casting of Circles and Wards
• Healing, Bloodstopping, and other magics of the body
• Faring Forth, Shapeshifting, and Astral Projection
• Weatherworking and Wind-charming
S. Rune Emerson is a witch and diviner of over 15 years of experience, and has been teaching and practicing in this area for over 9 years. This class will have the option of initiation into the Risting Tradition upon completion of the class, but initiation is not mandatory.
