1st Cross Quarter Ritual: Feast with the Ancestors

Join the Druids in Las Vegas as we share a Feast with our Ancestors
Event Details: As our ancestors once did, so we do today and so may our children do in the future...
The wheel of the years has completed another cycle. Samhain, "Summer's End", is here. The balance between day and night has tipped noticeably with darkness beginning to take more than its share. School and the second growing season are in full swing, both bustling with growth. Ghosts and goblins, fairies and princesses, pirates and superheroes of all sorts have gathered and are eagerly awaiting the moment when they may
plunder the lands. Soon the cold winds shall blow down from the mountains, bringing the biting chilll of Winter on its heels. And so we gather to celebrate.
Our Beings of the Occasion for this rite are the Ancestors. Ancestors of our blood, Ancestors of our hearths, Ancestors of our Hearts - Heroes and commoners alike - all those whom we would claim as family, as Ancestor, shall be welcomed to our table. Join us as we share a meal with those who have gone to the Great Beyond before us and returned on this eve to offer their love and wisdom.
Please arrive on time so that we may provide a pre-ritual briefing to everyone and still start ritual no later than 7:30pm. As always, our ritual will be held outdoors. Please dress accordingly!
For this ritual, we will be sharing Marv's famous Lasagna with our Ancestors. For the ritual, you will have the opportunity to invite an Ancestor or two that you'd like to share our table. Bring photos and mementos that will help call to and remind us of these Ancestors (all of these items will be returned after the ritual) . We also invite you to bring something special for the Ancestor (s) you'll be calling to offer as a gift (sacrifice*) .

PLEASE RSVP!! In order to provide enough food for everyone, we need an accurate head count. Please RSVP as soon as possible.
** This is a public ritual and all are welcome. ** Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult who assumes responsibility for their charge's actions. We are currently unable to provide childcare, so if your child is unable or uninterested in being part of the service, it may be better to leave them home for the sake of your own experience as well as those around you.
While attendance is free and open to everyone, rituals do cost money to perform. All donations are gratefully accepted and are tax deductible through the charter from our parent organization, Ár nDraíocht Féin (ADF) [a 501 (c) 3 charitable religious org]. All attendees are welcome to participate in the ritual as much or as little as they like; incense, oil and other items are provided to use for offerings. If you'd like to bring something of your own to offer, the Deities and Ancestors, in general, appreciate the sweet smells of incense as well as alcohol and silver objects. The nature spirits love edible seeds. All of our Kindred appreciate handmade goods and heartfelt poems and songs.
*All offerings are given to the Kindreds, taking them permanently out of human use (burned or otherwise eliminated/destroyed) .
Please do not park in the cul de sac. There is plenty of street side parking, just follow the sign.
