Feast and Fire of Imbolc
When: Feb. 16th. 2019
Where: Brooklyn, New York
Feast and Fire of Imbolc
Event Details: The saplings are starting to shoot through the snow...the sun is starting to feel warmer on our faces. Must be time to feel the fires of Brigid and celebrate Imbolc! Join NOW-NYC in Brooklyn as we utilize trance prophesy to call out for Brigid to join us on as we celebrate her, a guided meditation to set your intentions for Her Feast and fellowship and games afterwards!
We will have Fire and Water stations for cleansing and songs to sign for Brigid. Our singing will raise energy for Her and we'll be asking that she direct it to tokens we'll all receive.
We ask that all attendants wear something White, Red or Green in Her honor.
If you haven't attended one of our rituals before: Please be aware that we begin on time. 7pm SHARP! (Feel free to come in and get comfy as early as 6:45)
*Parents who wish to bring children* Children are welcome but please know that this ritual will include periods of darkness and silence, followed by drumming and chanting. We don't recommend bringing children under 8 years of age. All guests under 18 must have a parent or legal guardian present.
Things you may want to bring:
- Food and/or drink to share for feasting! No disposable products, so bring your own plate, cup, and fork, too!
Along with fellowship, we plan on having Imbolc party games and a poetry slam! We are accepting tarot reading donations if you're interested in giving members of our community a quick 5-10 minute read!
***Suggested donation is $10 or what you can, if you can. As always, no money – no problem. Your donation will pay for our space.
