Expressive Drumming & Chanting
When: Most Saturdays and some Fridays
Where: Vestal (near Binghamton) , New York
Learn songs and then express your own rhythms during the meditation.
Event Details: Each week, we create sacred space with a smudging ceremony, using sage (and/or instruments) . We pass a talking stick around the circle at the beginning and at the end of the evening to strengthen our connection with each other. Rose Husted teaches two songs each week. Then, we dim the lights for the meditative vocal toning, drumming and chanting, which lasts about 25 minutes. We join hands for our closing ceremony.
