Yule Ritual

Join us for Yule!
Event Details: Please join Silver Falls Protogrove, ADF in Akron, Ohio for our 2009 Yule Rite!
We will meet at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Akron (link to directions below) on Sunday December 13, 2009 to celebrate Yule. Someone will be on-site no later than 3:30 pm, we hold a pre-ritual briefing at 4:30 pm, and the ritual will start promptly at 5:00 pm. In ADF we do not cast circles or otherwise close our ritual space so if you are running a little late or must leave a little early you are more than welcome to do so.
This year our Yule rite will have a Germanic focus; Odin, the Norse All-Father, and Sól, the Norse Goddess of the sun will be our Key Offerings. We will also include the burning of the Yule Log and honor the returning of the sun as part of the ritual. We will meet in the McKeeman Room (the fireside room next to the sanctuary) maps are available within the church to direct you. Our ritual feast will take place immediately following the rite itself.
Our rites are open the public, you need no special invite or initiation to join us, and children are welcome. We look forward to seeing you there!

Our rituals last for approximately 45 minutes
The pre-ritual briefing will be a time to go over the chants we will be singing, discuss what is is going to happen, and answer any questions people may have.

Morewood Ave. is located directly across from the main entrance to Summit Mall off of Market St. in Akron. There are maps located in the church directing you to the rooms being used for ritual.
