Event Details: The 8th Annual Region of the Moundbuilders Powwow is a great family event. The dancers in their regalia in the circle, with the native drums and chants, make powwows a very powerful outing. Join the dancers during the open, intratribal dances in the circle. There will be vendors of native american styled jewellry, paintings, home decor and beadwork. Native american storytellers continue their ancient oral tradition of teaching the younger generations. Great powwow foods, like fry bread, will be available. This is an event that is held outdoors, on the open ground. Handicapped toilet facilities are on site. Primitive campsites available for all participants.
Event Location: Everett Park, 170 Everett Drive in Newark
Event TIME Details: 10 AM to 8 PM Saturday, 10 AM to 5 PM Sunday
Directions: State Route 16 in Newark, take Cedar Street exit north. Turn west (left) onto Everett Drive, and follow the drive until you see the powwow on your right.
