Since the 1980’s people have been using runes for divination, but originally these powerful symbols were more often used in active magic. Learn how to use individual runes and short runic scripts in spellcasting. Design your own runic talismans. The runes can be powerful tools for healing, protection and achieving personal happiness. (We will be working with the 29 runes described in the Old English Rune Poem. The Martin Rune Deck will be available for purchase for anyone who would like his or her own set of runes to work with.)
Alaric Albertsson is the author of “Travels Through Middle Earth: The Path of a Saxon Pagan” and “Wyrdworking: The Path of a Saxon Sorcerer”, both published by Llewellyn Worldwide. Over the past four decades his spirituality has developed as a synthesis of Anglo-Saxon tradition, herbal studies and rune lore.
