Event Details: You’ve been feeling the call of the earth’s wild places for a long time now. You know there’s more to life and spirit than what your culture teaches you, and something in you longs to reach out and understand the mysteries of earth and moon, sun and stars. Your search for guidance only brings you up short - all the Wicca classes you’re finding are either basic overviews with little to offer, or they’ve already started, so you must wait and endlessly wait for another class session to begin. If only you could start sooner, jump in, take the plunge…
Finally there’s another way!
Circles School of Wicca was founded and is taught by Thuri Calafia, author of DEDICANT: A Witch’s Circle of Fire; A Course of Study in the Old Religion. What's exciting about Circles is that, first of all, there is no waiting period to get in. Whether you're just beginning, or have been on the Path for a while, there is a Circles class level that fits your needs. Each class level is designed to follow a Wheel of the Year format, but what is also really cool about Circles is that, even though all levels are deep, comprehensive year-and-a-day courses, you can start at any time. ANY TIME - there is no waiting! The only prerequisite for any level is the Orientation and Basics class for that level, and after that, you can just jump on the Wheel, joining your peers in the next class session, effectively eliminating that cumbersome waiting period typical of most Witchy 101s.
Another thing that's cool about Circles Wicca classes is that the classes give students from ALL class levels the opportunity to meet and learn together once a month. These are the Pathworkings classes - the "hands on" portion of your study. What's really awesome about this format is that the more experienced students (such as those at Initiate and Adept level) then have the opportunity to help the newer students, which gives them the opportunity to learn good teaching skills, a key component to success on the more advanced levels of any Wiccan or Witchcraft Path.
THURI CALAFIA is a Wiccan High Priestess of many years standing, and the founder/creator of the Circles System and School. She is currently offering various workshops and priestess services (intuitive readings, weddings, house blessings, baby blessings, and other Life Passage rites) , public rituals and other events throughout the Pacific northwest, in addition to teaching her Circles Dedicant and Initiate level classes. She is working on the second in the four-book series, INITIATE: A Witch’s Circle of Water.
