wiccan/pagan workshop
Event Details: Come with us on a magical journey filled with knowledge and fun throughout the year.
All classes are taught and rituals lead by Jackie (an ordained Wiccan High Priestess who has been studying the craft for 30 years actively and has taught for the past 16 years) . Classes are held at at King's Curiosity 27 E. Main St. Palmyra PA 17078 (717) 838-9745 from 3-5 pm on sundays and are priced modestly $20.
All classes are informal and interactive, please bring a notebook and pen, each class will include exercises and supplies
Rituals are open to the public and free of charge, they will be held at various locations including but not limited to the shop which will be the primary meeting place from which we can caravan.
Aug 30 Begining Wicca part 1
topics:dieties of wicca, the wiccan rede, 3 fold law, types of magic, types of
witches, want vs will, our beliefs, & visualization (including exercises)
Sept 6 Begining Wicca part 2
topics: symbolism, the elements, wiccan laws, principles of wicca,
tools (finding, consecrating and using them) , initiation (solitary vs
coven) , grounding, centering and shielding (including exercises) and
magical charging
Sept 13 Begining Wicca part 3
topics: chanting (including exercises) , moon cycles, the sabbats, magical
mishaps, sex and the craft, rituals, casting a sacred circle, spell casting
basics (including exercises)
Sept 20 Visualization and candle magic
topics:colors and their meaning, uses of candle magic including healing,
divination and ritual use.
Maybon celebration to follow
A celebration of the harvest and autumn
events included: pot luck dinner, bring your favorite harvest recipe so we
may give thanks to the god and goddess
for our abundance and feast on the plentiful food. Afterwards we will
meet at Shank Park in Hershey for a nature walk and finish the night with
a bonfire.

topics: the magic of food, working with herbs, recipes, the inner workings
of kitchen magic
Oct 11 Aromatherapy
topics: oils and their uses, to generate success and money, to draw
love, beauty secrets, moods and emotions, for mind and spirit and holistic
healing.
Oct 18 Crystal Work
topics: stone energies, their shapes and meanings, working with crystals
for healing, divination moods and emotions, overcoming the past, cleaning
and charging your crystals,
Oct 25 The Theban Alphabet & the Secret Workings of the Witch
topics: the alphebet itsself, the history of the witch's alphebet, reasons for
secrecy, implementing it into your book of shadows, as well as practical
uses.
Oct 31 Samhain Festival (festival of the dead)
A time to remember those we love who have passed on, and invite them to
join with us in celebration.
events included:honoring our ancestors and loved ones (please bring a photo
or an object belonging to them) ,
refreshments (feel free to bring your favorite halloween treats or
recipe) apple bobbing, apple magic, and much, much more!
we will meet at the shop at sundown, dress attire will be in robes or entirely
in black.
Nov 1 Spell Crafting
topics: communicating with the earth, the basic mechanics of casting a
spell, working with directions, elements
and tools, to rhyme or not to rhyme, as well as correcting spells that have
gone awry.
Nov 8 Herbalism (Natural healing)
topics: an in depth study of herbs from traditions, & medical uses to holistic
healing, & stress relief. facts and folklore, use, growing your own ect
Nov 15 Meditation and Chakras
topics:an in depth look at chakras and how they effect us, as well as our
connection to the earth through them. meditation, centering, the energy of
life, balance, working with crystals, sounds and colors and their effects on
the chakras.
Nov 22 Broom Magic
topics:Broom lore, caring for your magical broom, practical uses, magical
uses, circle casting with your broom, broom spells, sweeping spells, hand
fasting and jumping the broom.
Nov 29 Moon magic
topics:myth and magic, the lunar year, power of the moon and its effects on
us, cycles of the moon and power days, honoring the goddess and our
celestial connection, moon dieties, moon symbols and the charge of the
goddess.
Dec 6 Faery magic
topics: fairy mystery mythology and folklore, holiday celebrations with the
fairies, types of faeries, magical ways of and times for faeries, hearth and
home, casting with faeries.
Dec 13 Shamantic healing
topics: preparation, tools, energy and dream work, drumming, inspiration,
divination, healing and living in balance.
Dec 20 Sex magic and sexual healing *18+ only*
topics:history of sex magic and healing, sexual energy, sex and the spirit,
embracing your sexuality, polarities, to cast alone or with others, practical
applications, preparation and tools, responsibilities, training and perrils, and
the Great Rite
(I would like to point out this is NOT a "hands on" class)
Yule Festival to follow
the festival of the return of the sun, when great mother brings him forth
newborn.
events included: candles will be lit to teach the new sun how to shine,
decorating of the yule log (feel free to bring your own, some will be
provided) , yuletide songs, and gift exchange (it is customary to exchange
magical items, tools, wiccan jewelery ect and the price should be no more
than $15 per person if you would like to participate) as well as yuletide
treats and goodies.
