Open Samhain Celebration

Event Details: Open Samhain Celebration Saturday, Nov 3, 2012 Presented by The Inner Path Community 2:00 PM – Setup 5:00 PM – Doors Open 6:00 PM – Feast Begins
In celebration of the reunion of the Lord and Lady in the Underworld and of the New Year, the Inner Path is holding our third annual Samhain Potluck Feast. This is a sit-down “family-style” dinner with plenty of friendship, fun, and laughter. Time will also be given over dessert to light candles and remember our departed loved ones. Please bring photos or other tokens of remembrance of departed loved ones.
*** Seating is limited to 64 people so reservations are highly recommended to ensure a place at a table. ***
This is a potluck dinner, so please be prepared to bring a dish with 10 servings (yourself + 9 others) . Consider bringing a favorite food of a loved one. Please keep in mind that some in our community are vegan or gluten-free. It will be beneficial if we can have a selection of dishes to accommodate these dietary needs.
To round out our feast, we need the following:
One each of a primary dish: roast turkey roasted pork loin honey-baked ham roast beef entree size vegetarian / vegan dish 8 starchy dishes, i.e. potatoes, rice, pasta, etc 16 veggie side-dishes 12 desserts
If you are not the cooking type, a variety of secondary items is also needed such as bread, pickles, butter, cranberry sauce, and drinks (soda, iced tea, juice, no alcohol) .
Finally, if service is more to your style, there is plenty of help needed to set up, serve, and clean-up the feast. Because of other events at the Meetinghouse, we will not have access to the building until 2:00 PM the day of the feast. We will need people to show up early to put tables, chairs, place settings and decorations. You can always leave to get yourself ready and return for the feast.
Please RSVP by October 22 to InnerPathCoord@gmail.com with the number of people in your group, what food item if any you will be bringing, or if you will be able to help with setup or in the kitchen.
