Blending Bellydance & Spirituality
Event Details: At the Waves of Healing location specifically, this class will especially focus on combining spirituality and sense of self with the dance, which makes it very Pagan/New Age friendly. I've been dancing for over 10 years, and teaching metaphysics for even longer, and I enjoy combining both subjects for Pagans to really enjoy and explore this art to the fullest. But I only do this
for specific workshops and classes, not all of them, and this is one of those times!
About The Class:
Discover the elegant art of bellydance with Tempest, world-class instructor and performer. Rooted in the Middle and Far East, and practiced throughout the world, bellydance is a sensuous expressive form of dance enjoyed by all, young and old, men, women and children. It is a low-impact workout that improves
coordination, fosters positive body awareness, and tones the whole body from head to toe. Students will learn the foundation movements of the dance, while being engaged about the history, music, and costuming of the dance, in a fun and supportive environment.
About Your Instructor:
Tempest is an artist, designer, dancer, and writer recently relocated back to Rhode Island. She has been studying, performing, and teaching traditional and modern forms of bellydance for nearly 10 years, and regularly teaches workshops
and performs throughout North America and Europe. She is featured in several DVD's released by WorldDanceNewYork, including her own instructional "Bellydance for Beautiful Freaks". For more info, visit http://www.darklydramatic.com
