Welcome Friends, Witches, Pagans & Druids:

HearthStone Protogrove from Austin, Blackland Prairie Protogrove from DFW, & Live Oaks Protogrove from Houston are all proud to announce our Imbolc Retreat plans for Celebrating the ancient Celtic Fire Festival of Oimelc (Imbolc) .

This year's Texas Imbolc Retreat, the annual gathering of ADF's Central Region, will be held at the U-Bar-U campground, in Kerrville, located just outside the towns of San Antonio & Austin.

U-Bar-U Retreat & Conference Center is approximately 125 miles west of Austin in the scenic Texas Hill Country. It is located in the Southwest corner of Gillespie County and contains the second highest elevation in Gillespie County. The highest elevation is on the property contiguous to U-Bar-U. Directions located on http://ubaru.org/.

The site is completely fenced with a solar-powered entry gate. The available buildings consist of two cottages plus a storage barn, a sheep shearers' shed, and a 3100 square foot meetinghouse. One of the cottages is straw bale construction. There is a 35' diameter circular limestone rock pool with a deck, two labyrinths, and a fire circle. The water is straight out of the Edwards Aquifer from a 300' well powered by a windmill and an electric pump. There two bedrooms in the Meeting House and the two cabins, each of which accommodates about 10-12 people. There are four total showers and each housing unit has sitting room, porch and decks, and kitchen facilities ranging from the commercial kitchen to kitchenettes. There are ping pong, foos ball, bocci, horseshoes, a treehouse, rope swing, hiking trails, a campfire ring, two labyrinths, a card table, puzzles, games, piano, guitar and telescopes.
