Event Details: Join us Tuesdays for Qigong Class at 7:30 pm.
Qigong is a standing movement artform that originated in China over 4000 years ago. The first Qigong practices were documented in the original text on Chinese Medicine, which is still in use today. Qigong uses slow, sincere movements to cultivate the energy of life that exists all around us and pulls it into the body to increase every aspect of health. Qigong is a wonderful daily spiritual practice that helps to reduce cortisol, improve blood flow, increase joint mobility, mental clarity and endurance. Qigong helps us to slow down and commune with the deeper aspects of life and the universal Sea of Qi that exists all around us. The practice of Tai Chi grew from Qigong.
Class costs $15 per class or $105 for the entire 8 week series. Students must pay by cash or check. Call 703-777-4642 to sign up.
Rev. Steve Wood is a Level-3 Certified Qigong Instructor and Event Facilitator with Supreme Science Qigong Foundation, Licensed Massage Therapist, and Usui Reiki lvl 3 practitioner. He has training in food healing, nutrition, homeopathy, and various vibrational healing modalities. Steve's personal journey began in the world of science, majoring in Forensic Science. While learning about Quantum Mechanics he saw that the beliefs he held about the resolute nature of reality were invalidated by this new branch of chemistry. This began his journey to explore the metaphysical realm. Steve believes that healing modalities like Qigong can help humanity to commune with its higher aspects and help shift global consciousness to aid in the approaching paradigm shift.
