T'ai Chi Tuesdays

Gentle Movement, Powerful Energy
Event Details: T'ai Chi is a form of Martial Arts. This gentle moving meditation is a wonderful form of exercise, especially for those with difficulties with "traditional exercise' or arthritis. T'ai Chi is one of the only forms of exercise recommended by the Arthritis Association for those suffering with arthritis. An hour of T'ai Chi can burn 250-300 calories with gentle slow movement focused on balance, form and opening and strengthening the body.
This class is led by Jan Kendy, who herself suffers from Diabetes, Rheumatoid Arthritis and Fibromyalgia. She herself says that without T'ai Chi she would not be leading the life she leads. (She is currently leading kayak tours on the Eastern Shore!)
This class focuses on the Sun Short Form, and lasts approximately 1 hour. Begin at anytime, you do not need to wait for a "start date" here. New students are always welcomed in and taught as we go, with older students assisting.
