Event Details: Please join Silver Falls Protogrove, ADF in Akron, Ohio for our 2009 Samhain Rite!
We will meet at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Akron on Sunday November 8th, 2009 to celebrate our Samhain Rite. Someone will be on-site no later than 3:30 pm, we hold a pre-ritual briefing at 4:30 pm, and the ritual will start promptly at 5:00 pm. In ADF we do not cast circles or otherwise close our ritual space so if you are running a little late or must leave a little early you are more than welcome to do so.
This year our Samhain rite will have a Gaelic focus and we will be honoring the Ancient Wise as our key offering. The Ancient Wise are the poets, magicians, priests, and other essential men and women of the ancient pagan past. We will meet outdoors at the medicine wheel on the church property (behind the church building, by the gazebo) , but have also reserved the McKeeman Room indoors in case of bad weather and for our ritual feast which will take place immediately following the rite itself.
Our rites are open the public, you need no special invite or initiation to join us, and children are welcome. We look forward to seeing you there!

Feast: Immediately after the rite
Our rituals last for approximately 45 minutes
The pre-ritual briefing will be a time to go over the chants we will be singing, discuss what is is going to happen, and answer any questions people may have.

Morewood Ave. is located directly across from the main entrance to Summit Mall off of Market St. in Akron. There are maps located in the church directing you to the rooms being used for ritual.
