Celebration of the Season of Light Yule Ritual

Where: Arlingtion, Virginia
Join us for a UU/Pagan celebration of light
Event Details: A celebration of the Season of Lights. Light symbolizes knowledge, life and goodness. As a member of CUUPs, this ritual draws from the Unitarian Universalist third source, wisdom from the world's religions which inspires us in our ethical and spiritual life. We will take this time to honor all the traditions of light being celebrated this season. Yule and the other traditions give us a way to embrace the return of light, both within ourselves, amongst ourselves, and in the world. This light may be literal in the form of the sun or burning oil, or figurative in the form of a baby or as enlightment. It is a happy time, one that reminds us why we should be merry despite all that life gives us.
