Event Details: I am pleased to open the door to a second round of Circlework & spiritual witchcraft. I began teaching this class last year and the universe has made the time available to start again. The class is intended to last for 2 years of meeting monthly, and opportunities will arise to allow 1st year and second year students to join together. Dates are as listed....
May 24th, June14th, July 19th, August 28-30th *field trip with second year students, September 20th, October 18th, November 15th, December 13th, 2010 dates to be announced.
Many of you have explored magic through volume after volume of text. While books certainly contain vast knowledge and techniques it is often difficult to gage your abilities and improve on your successes with a book alone as your guide. Working within a group opens doors that you might never have known existed.
Circle work is vital to many magical traditions. Creating a space that is a portal to other realms, internally and externally. A circle in magical thought is really more of a sphere, the Witch stands inside the circle surrounded on all sides by protective energy. It is a place of focus where one can concentrate on the work at hand.
Spiritual Witchcraft is the bones of Wicca, without the dogma. It is the techniques and values of living an Earth worshipping tradition without demanding one follow a particular path of getting there. Basic ethics still exist, such as “In all things, harm none”, but there is much more room to explore ones individual path.
Techniques and tools of the trade will be the key ingredients to our study. Learning to divine, working with sound & light, Moon phases, Aura’s, components (the essence of magic within the elements) , energy raising techniques, spell casting, color magic, cone of power and much more. Magic is simply a term for science we do not yet understand. The world around us is alive and vital and we have the ability within us to create the lives we desire while making this world a better place.
Classes will be on going, one will build upon the other. We will meet monthly on the Sunday listed from1-3pm, at my home in Newark. There will be times throughout the year when we will arrange to meet at night and work under the moon. We will also occasionally go on field trips to experience raw places of natural energy. Field trips and night events will be discussed in advance and will be shared with students in their second year. There will be homework assigned at each class that is to be worked on throughout the month. There will also be email correspondence throughout the month to touch base. As always my relationship with my student’s, has one sided expectation. You in no way are expected to contact me, you are free to end the relationship at any time you wish. I however see myself as responsible as a guide to those who have chosen me as a teacher. If ever you find yourself overwhelmed by spiritual matters do no hesitate to contact me.
