Pagan Campout 2013

When: Jun. 14th. 2013 - Jun. 16th. 2013
Where: Priest Lake, Washington

8th Annual Pagan Campout. Priest Lake Idaho

Event Details: Greetings!

Yes it is time, time to start the planning of the Ninth Annual Pagan Campout. It is very hard to believe yet oh so wonderful that it has been ongoing for six years. Many people and groups have attended, many new friends have been made and wonders explored. We would like to invite you to join in the fun and fellowship we all have enjoyed at this event. Spread the word about the campout! Tell your friends, post it on groups, message boards and any place you can think of - it will only make the campout bigger and more enjoyable for all! I hope to again see all my friends from near and far join us for the merriment we all have shared in the past.

The price this year is just $13 per family! Take a look below to see how many families have signed up to join us this year! http://pagancampout.com/

So what is the Pagan Campout?
It is a gathering of pagans who want to enjoy some camaraderie together, have a few laughs, get away from the hectic lives we all seem to live and relax. The campout is not sponsored by any group or organization and has no agenda other than having a good time. Of course it is camping, in a tent, on the ground, in the woods, out in the weather, cooking over fires, swimming, hiking, exploring and doing whatever comes to mind. The Pagan Campout is what ever you choose to make it because, in the end, it is you who makes the campout.

Who comes to the campout?
Why pagans of course! Last years campout had people attend from all the way in Lewiston ID - 300 miles away. Those that attended came from various backgrounds, different beliefs and traditions. Some had lots of camping experience while others had none. One thing everyone who came did have in common was a great time and wonderful experience sharing their ideas and beliefs with others while learning new things for themselves.

When is the campout?
The campout is during the Summer Solstice again this year. We did this last year for the first time and it was a great experience for all those who participated so we are doing it again. Participation is optional of course; sometimes it is better to just sit back and take in what is offered in the sacred circle of nature.

Where is the campout?
The campout is at Beaver Creek Campground at the north end of Priest Lake. This is a U.S. Forest Service campground. Though many people do go to Priest Lake not as many venture to the north end where this campground is making it somewhat secluded. The group site that is used is separated from the rest of the campground and surrounded by tall wonderful conifers and leafy deciduous trees on three sides. Only a short walk, about 100 feet, from the open field is magical Beaver Creek. Some have even found small jems in the creek.
