Beltane and Honey Moon Esbat
When: May. 5th. 2012
Where: Spokane, Washington
Beltane festival and ritual at the UU Church in Spokane
Event Details: This is a community event, for anyone who wants to attend. We will be hosting a Beltane festival as well as a full moon ritual on this day.
The current time line is:
2:00 PM Arrival/Begin community time - Activities including games, crafts, and other stuff to be announced. (READERS, HEALERS, AND VENDORS WANTED FOR THIS TIME FRAME, Please email me for more information.)
3:30 PM Begin short class on ritual and Beltane
4:00 PM Ritual
5:00 PM Ritual Ends, move to community area (outside by the Gazebo) while the ritualists pack up the altar and when they are ready, they will lead us to the feast.
6:30 PM Light clean up then Full Moon Celebration Time.
7:30 PM Final clean up and reset of church grounds.
8:00 PM End
keep in mind this is a tentative time line at the moment.
There is a Girl Scout Spaghetti Feed that is slotted to be serving from 5 PM - about 7 PM current projected price is $7 per person or $25 per family. If you want to participate in their fund-raising event that is up to you, we still suggest bringing some finger foods for potluck.
If you plan on joining us please go to our website and RSVP as soon as possible, or email me and I will add you to my RSVP.
If you plan on being a vendor, we do have rooms set aside that can be locked, to be used as storage during ritual.
We do plan on this being an outside event, it has a tendency to rain this time of year so plan accordingly. If the weather takes a turn for the worse we do have an indoor venue that will be available.
Event Location: 4340 West Fort George Wright Drive in Spokane
Event TIME Details: 2pm - 8pm
Directions: Take I-90 Towards Spokane
Take Exit 279 to merge onto US-190 South for about 1/2 a mile
Turn right onto W 16th Ave
W 16th Ave Turns right and becomes S. Lindeke St.
S. Lindeke St. becomes Government Way
Merge/Turn Right on West Fort George Wright Drive
Take First or Second Left
We will be setup outside (Dependent on weather) If you have food for potluck take the hallway to your left upon entering the front entrance, turn right and follow the hall to the last door on the right.
If you have any questions about the event, there will be staff at the entrance to point you in the right direction, as well as throughout the venue.
