Cult of Cthulhu presents...

Cult of Cthulhu 2 Convension

When: Apr. 30th. 2011 - May. 2nd. 2011
Where: Madison, Wisconsin

H.P. Lovecraft, Cthuluists!

Event Details: The Cthulhu 2 Convention (C2C) is a gathering for Cultists, Satanists, Lovecraftian devotees, insane artists, witches, black magicians, and outsiders. This convention is being organized to commemorate the four year anniversary of the Cult of Cthulhu; celebrate the book release of our second Cult tome, Liber A:O; and promote a fruitful learning environment for everyone interested in the Cthulhu Mythos and the Left Hand Path. United, we all have a greater chance to Awake!

The initial convention, Cthulhu 1, was held over the 2005 Walpurgisnacht weekend in Madison, WI. While Cthulhu 1 focused on the literary, film, and gaming aspects of the Mythos, C2C will focus solely on the religious and magical (how synonymous are they?) components of Lovecraft's creations. Obviously, this change is closer to what I originally intended. I hope the Cthulhu convention series will continue to be held at least every other year so that we can come together as eldritch brothers and sisters.

Aside from me, the list of presenters and guests of honor are to be announced. Please check the Cult of Cthulhu forum for regular updates. C2C organizers, High Priest Venger Satanis and Herald of the Old Gods Cora'Sahn, are determined to find the best possible candidates. The networking potential should be enormous. We also want to make sure this occult gathering is of the highest quality complete with thorough hands on training. If you have a suggestion, question, or comment...please email one or both of us.

Thursday April 30th - Convention begins at 1 pm lasting until just after midnight, culminating in the largest Cult of Cthulhu group ritual on the most unholy night of the year, May Eve. The whole day's presentations will be concerned with the Fourth Way, as well as, the Cult itself: accomplishments, beliefs, and goals. As some of you may know, the Fourth Way is an esoteric teaching brought to civilization by Gurdjieff and obsessively taught by Ouspensky. Awakening higher levels of consciousness is what 4th way teaching is all about.

Friday May 1st - First presentation begins at 11am. Activities continue until midnight. Focus will be on LHP rituals and other magical techniques. The Left Hand Path must take a different approach from the right hand or white light religious paradigms because the magician isn't working with nature, the world, and the universe...he's working against it. A different approach is required and you'll listen to dozens of Left Hand Path practitioners regarding their specific techniques.

Saturday May 2nd - First presentation begins at 11am and continues until midnight (group luncheon from 1 - 2pm included in convention price) . Focus will be on alternative reality altering outlets: music, art, film, literature, technology, and using the magician's will throughout one's everyday experience. Belief is reality. We'll also get into quantum physics, string theory, the holographic universe, and dark matter/energy/flow.

Pre-registration price: $75 for the entire weekend.
Within 30 days of convention price, April 1st or later: $100 for the entire weekend.

Official Cult of Cthulhu members get a $20 discount; please include your Cult name and date of birth for verification with payment. Intrigued enough to seek information about joining our international organization? Check our website.

Radisson Hotel rooms for C2C will be held at the reduced rate of $99 a night. If two or more of you are traveling together, ask about doubling, tripling, or even quadrupling up.. Radisson will only hold those convention rooms at that price until April 1st, so definitely call ahead: (608) 833-0100. Guest rooms include coupon for complimentary breakfast in hotel bar.

Tell them it's for the "Cthulhu" convention in order to get the room discount. www.radisson.com/madisonwi
